The dial

The canvas of the dial is silvered and sun-ray brushed. Each fine silvery line meets at the fulcrum of the dial, enticing the wearer's eyes to focus on the key information presented.

The golden-hue of the lancine hour and minute hands articulate time lucidly, employing a seemly tone. They collaborate with faceted, triangular batons to impart the hours, save for 3, 9 and 12 o'clock, where either pearl-like dots or Arabic numerals assume responsibility for proclaiming the hour.
Three subdials adorn the dial, including a 30-minute chronograph register, a 12-hour chronograph register and a small running seconds. Each subdial is double-stepped, sitting slightly below the main dial plane, masterfully manipulating depths to becoming effect. At 4:30, an aperture reveals the date. It is presented in clean black text against a white date disc, delivering a notable degree of readability.

However, more importantly for a chap of my advancing years, a pulsometer scale encircles the dial canvas. Calibrated 'for 30 pulsations', the wearer can actuate the chronograph, count 30 beats of the heart and halt the chronograph once this target has been reached. The central chronograph seconds hand will point to a value on the scale, indicating the patient's heart rate.
